Cookie Policy
We only use cookies and browser storage that the service needs to work. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in the same way. UK law allows a site to use them without consent when they are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for.
2. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
.AspNetCore.Identity.Application |
Keeps you signed in. | Until you close your browser, or up to 12 hours after your last activity if you choose Keep me signed in. |
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* |
Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. | Until you close your browser. |
.AspNetCore.Identity.External, .AspNetCore.Correlation.* |
Completes and secures sign-in with Google, Microsoft or Facebook. Only set if you use one of them. | A few minutes, during sign-in. |
portalScraper.assistantWindow (local storage) |
Remembers where you placed and how you sized the help assistant window. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
3. Third-party sites
Checkout and the billing portal open on Stripe's own website, which sets its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Signing in with Google, Microsoft or Facebook takes you to their sites, which use their own cookies. Their policies explain how they use them.
4. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, you will not be able to sign in, and free searches may not work.
5. Changes
If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
